Does anyone take all their lamictal in one dose for the day? I'm meant to take 50mg twice a day but find it difficult to remember my nighttime dose even with a dose box & alarm (mainly due to shift working hours).

I take 300 mg in one dose when I wake up. I have had no problems with it.
Thanks for this!

I take 300mg all at once in the afternoon. I can't take at night because it affects my sleep.

For a brief period of time when I was on extended release Lamictal, I would take one pill all at once (I think either 300 or 400 mg, if I recall correctly).

I'm back to being on immediate release Lamictal, where I am instructed to take divided doses now.
Thanks for this!

I take 200 mg twice a day. I used to be prescribed 100 mg day and 200 mg night, but I took 'em all at once because I didn't want to cut the 200 mg pill in half every day.

My old pdoc had me taking it twice a day, along w the Wellbutrin I take. Had been taking 200 mg twice a day. The new pdoc cut the dose to 200 mg daily bc he said it was too high, and that I should take in one dose and he Rx it to me as once a day but I didn't feel right. I prefer splitting the dose up. So now I am back to taking it in the am and eve. From what I have read, there is no one right way to take it so idk what is better. I personally felt more stable 2x day.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I saw my neurologist & he said I would have to have a 1 month non driving period if I wanted to change my dose to a daily dose & that it wasn't ideal (coming from the perspective of trying to prevent the risk of further seizures, not for mood stability)

I take 400mg every morning. After all y'all taking a divided dose, I write my doctor. We'll see if she says to do the same.
