Am I over medicated?

So my appointment with pdoc, told her been doing fairly well, but still have anxiety and self conscious issues. I asked about gabapentin and she hesitated at first saying I'm on too many medicines, and then said I'm taking you off klonopin. Now I take the psych meds I have listed on my signature, I also take amoldime and lisinpro for blood pressure, metaformin for pre diabetes, flexiril as needed for my shoulder and ambien. Am I really on too much medicine? Do I need to worry about it?

I've got ya beat by a mile. I take six psych meds, four blood-pressure meds, metformin, multivitamins, biotin, vitamin D and fish oil. I'm a mess. LOL

What's biotin? I also take multi vitamins, fish oil and vitamin d.

She may be worried about the sedating combo of flexeril klonopin Ambien and gabapentin.

For the self consciousness..well there is no pill for that unfortunately.

I think 5 psych meds are pretty common for bp.

It depends on how your body is responding to the combo. Some drugs interact and can cause havoc. Do you feel your combo is working for you? Do you have intolerable side effects? I know the feeling though, like a walking rattling pharmacy. Along with my signature I take tramadol for pain, thyroxin for thyroid issues (thanks Lithium!) and tonnes of vitamins and supplements. I wonder how my stomach digests it all sometimes. Still, few side effects and positive results so I'm sticking with it.

It's a supplement that helps with hair, skin, and nails. My son in law who is a hair expert advised me to take it, as I've lost a lot of hair in the past few months along with 70 lbs. Hopefully the hair loss will stop soon.

hey- i dunno what too many medications are. as i take a LOT for some physical health stuff ive had since i was a kid. and then meds to counter the side effects of those meds. and so on.
if you feel good then at least for the moment i wouldnt be too worried. i do know a lot of pdocs do polypharmacy now a days- rx several meds at lower doses instead of 1 at a high dose. not sure if its better or not.

I don't think you are overmedicated. If each drug is helping for a specific purpose, I think you're good. The dosage is the doctor's discretion, I think. Do you have a titration plan for Klonopin?

No. You are overworried. Let life happen.
