How many of you do this? I'm home today feeling like a total loser and just realized maybe in overreacting. I've been doing really goid lately and this weekend I spent some money on myself and today I had a total meltdown over it. I spent $100 on new gym shoes and a workout outfit. This is actually an investment in myself and I didn't spend every last penny I had, but this morning I felt like I had ****ed up really bad. I think I've calmed myself down now but man was I beating myself up. I know my next check is going to be short because I was our sick with pneumonia a few days last pay period so I feel like I should have saved instead of spending, but in all actuality it will be ok. I just hate feeling like a loser. Also I started smoking again after almost two weeks of not doing it. See now I'm back to feeling like a dumbass. It's a vicious cycle right now for me. Sorry guys, just venting!

I over react all the time over very trivial things. Today I think I have over reacted about college in fact I'm that peeved I'm not going in tomorrow.

It's nice to treat yourself once in a blue moon so you buying the new gym gear is a treat and will benefit you too

I spent $150 on clothes and shoes today. I didn't really need them, but I felt like I needed them. It's hard sometimes to treat ourselves when we're so used to having a tight budget. Gym clothes are worth it, though, because you'll use them a lot.
Thanks for this!

This reminds me of my session with my Therapist today when I was talking about buying some things for myself, although part of me says I would spend too much money. Her advice is that it is good to treat yourself reasonably and that completely depriving yourself of things that cheer you up leads to more depression. I know how stressful it can be when your budget is tight, but please don't be so hard on yourself.. I need to work on this too though!
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry you're feeling like this, buyers' remorse is an odd thing. I can only really say I think we all go through this sometimes and it's a normal (at least for us) belief. I hope the feeling passes.
Thanks for this!
