I think I'm technically BP1 now since I had a mixed episode, but I am more typical of BP2

Type 2, ultra rapid cycling

no doc ever specified, just labeled bipolar.

I always say 2 based on more depressive issues, but it's not in my records that I know of. I'd go with 1.5 as others have mentioned based on experience in the distant past.

BP2. The only time I was manic with possible psychosis was when I was mistreated with a high dose of steroids and no mood stabilizer (I had an allergic reaction to Lamictal and my GP was an idiot). I was hospitalized for 3 days. The mania/psychosis was terrifying, but thankfully a one time thing due to steroids.

Diagnoses: Bipolar 2, OCD, Chronic Worrywart
Meds: Lithium (reducing), Trileptal, Latuda, Risperdal, Klonopin and Xanax PRN
