I just felt like venting a little bit. I have had a great week and day until tonight and i got some family news that I really didn't want to hear and I could feel my mood changing and I had no control over it. I was in such a good mood only to fall in to a self pity one where it's dark and lonely. That is one thing I hate about being Bipolar are the sudden onset of a different mood to deal with and coming out of the one I was just in. And I can feel it happening, it's just kind of weird is all. Thanks to all who listen and might have some suggestions for me.

Have you ever tried dbt? It's a type of therapy. Typically you would get involved with a group but you can study it yourself. There are online courses. It's helpful for emotional regulation. I have found with bipolar if the depression has no trigger there's really no way to stop it but dbt can help manage your emotional response to triggers like bad news so they don't send you into a tailspin.
