I feel like my pdoc is going to give up on me.
Every time he gives me good guidance, I just go off and do my own thing. IDK. I'm just stupid. Sure, you can say, "well, we all mess with our meds at some point", but I seem to do this every 1-2 months, if not more often. I always stop taking stuff, change doses, take meds I shouldn't be taking (i.e., the Adderall I was once prescribed). I'm afraid he's just going to give up on me my next appointment. I don't know. I just can't be trusted, and I can't really blame him if he wants to terminate with me. My mood is so unstable because I'm so stupid with meds. I feel like I'm a lost cause... and I don't know... I'll probably give up on life if he gives up on me. |

Why not bring that up next appointment and see if he has any insights for you?

my pdoc pretty much threw his hands in the air with me at one point and was done. Didn't blame him. Tried another pdoc pic for a month or two and then just brazenly made another appointment with my old pdoc. His secretaries made it (love those girls)
Hes like having a dramatic boyfriend that makes a big deal but accepts you back anywAy haha But I was so depressed I agreed to anything. Thats when he said we were doing the monthly abilifye shot or nothing and I went with it. Worked really good too until I had to get off because akathisia Since then I went noncompliant again but I think he gave up a,little. He did say I would end up in the hospital again but I'm STABLE woot! Anyway my point is don't give up on yourself for a pdoc. They are a dr.... not our life. But try and work with him to find something that works for you. Hey it takes time You will be alright blue

try not to worry so much. pdocs can be replaced, especially if you have good insurance and/or can/will pay out of pocket.

Hugs blue, it's hard with all the side effects etc., plus if your like me you want to see results quickly and they take time!

It will be ok. I'm pretty sure pdoc's have experience with patients and non-compliance. That would include me although I've had a long working relationship with my pdoc and I leave him a voicemail if I'm about to change something. Best wishes. If he gives up on you you might find somebody better. We're here for you.

Pdoc's have a right to discharge and offer referral to another Pdoc if a patient is consistently non complaint.
Are you in T to learn how to manage life with Bipolar ? Accept Bipolar ?
