I had to find a new pdoc bc the previous one was never covered by my insurance. Got huge bill, squeeking by, can't afford to pay all out of pocket. I've been severely manic for weeks, increased psychomotor activity, no relief from current meds (seroquel and effexor). Job stress likely trigger (long story). Pdoc told me to back off on my hours at work, said that'll solve my agitation. Sent me on my way. I felt even worse than before. Arms and legs wont stop moving, mind screaming, tension in every cell of my body. I don't want to go back. I don't feel trust. Hard to find any pdoc in my area esp. Covered by my insurance. Next time, I wish I could pre-screen the pdocs: what is your treatment philisophy?

Call the on call service to report the mania.
It sounds like you could use a medication change.
Try to find a new pdoc! sorry this one seems so negligent.

My Dad is checking to see if his pdoc has an opening. I hope this works out. And daughter just called, said her bipolar symptoms are out of control. She's 22, been diagnosed with bipolar since 14.
