This last 1.5week I have been extremelly irritable and with a ton of homicidal and suicidal thoughts. I dont sleep well. and when I get a flashbacks from my cptsd added to this it gets totally out of control.

I just wondered if this could be dysphoria since I dont sleep, I am irritable, I am homicidal, suicidal, too much energy, but at the same time sad.

/I have been IP twice for some hours this week/

Now I have it more under control since I have more or less identify what it is, but I wondered if you think it is dysphoria or if it has another name.

/I was diagnosed as bipolar once, but I though they were wrong, my psychiatrist said I have a cyclothymic personality, but this is beyond/

dysphoria isn't really a disorder in itself, it's more like a symptom or general state of extreme dissatisfaction (think "gender dysphoria"). What you describe sounds more than/beyond this - it reminds me of how people describe a mixed state, feeling high/low at the same time. I would definitely get some help asap, as it sounds like you are in a lot of distress.

Thank you. My head is full of thoughts and I feel horrible.

Hi Oliver,

I am sorry you are suffering. I don't think we can know how long this will last.

I agree with our friend: It would be wise to involve professional help, in addition the participating here.

Do you see a therapist or a pdoc?

I hope to see you around the forum.

Be kind to yourself, Oliver.

Thank you. I have a psychiatrist who is also my therapist. I will see him on 3 may. But I can leave a letter for him since he will be in the day hospital this Tuesday. He was on vacation so I didn't see him for a month.

I am glad you have a way to reach your pdoc sooner, if you wish.

Why would anyone think you were "faking up" symptoms?

I certainly hope so!
