Trazadone (100mg) worked for me for a year or so, and began putting me to sleep but waking and getting up 6 or 7 times a night. Now I take Esentress (just finished inpt. stay from 5/1-5/23), and it knocks me out and maintain a steady sleep for 8 hrs

Night #2 passed rather uneventfully. Got to sleep fine, just like the previous night. Woke up a couple times; this time I didn't feel drugged, which was a drag. Would rather be floating on the cloud. Anyway, it seems the Trazodone might be doing as well as Seroquel, minus the metabolic issues.
Thanks everyone for the responses, they've been really helpful.

I am on 150 of trazadone and have been on it for a few years now.
I have no side affects and it does help me sleep. I can't sleep without taking something and for me trazadone seems to do the trick. It is certainly not perfect and I still have some bad nights but over all it helps a lot.
