I mailed my Ssdi review paperwork yesterday. Nervous as hell about it. Idk what my pdoc will say if they contact him. He's also my ip pdoc so he sees me in the hospital which I was in ip in January and twice last year. Psychosis sucks.
I'm just worried. I want to start Part time Work but I know I'm not ready to go straight back to full time.

Thank you guys! I figure I can't do anything more than what ss decides about my case. I really need to keep it.

Best of luck to you. I'll have to do that eventually as well.

When I went through a review last year I read that most people do keep it (90% or more). Mine was pretty fast; I sent my papers in, my therapist got a pile around the same time and we did those during a session and then after those went in it was only a few weeks until I got my letter that it was being continued.
I did read somewhere that they are going to start having reviews (and initials) see pdocs more often and not just base things on self-report/your treatment provider, so don't be too upset if they send you to someone. I can't imagine they can afford to send everyone though so hopefully you'll just slip through. Good luck!

So I guess it's part of the review is offering hat program? Also-did you get a whole packet of questions to do? I had one to put last 12 months of my pdoc, therapist and hospital inpatient programs. And to lost my meds and why I take them. Then a page to put remarks. I filled it out and put a ton of the things I deal with daily. All honest. But reflecting it makes me feel so screwed up. I've had ip once this year and twice last year. Was it like that for you?

Yes. I had those forms too. Then my therapist got a form with most of the same questions plus more about how he sees me functioning. Since I'd just gotten out of the hospital for the 2nd time in a few months he wrote a lot about that and about how limited I am in caring for myself and how working would be impossible for me and why he thought that.
I was so afraid too but it all was ok. I worry more about my next one because I'm doing better now that I'm on clozaril, although needing massive amounts of sleep from the med adds to the limitations I already had, I just am not cycling so much now. That's 2 years off so I guess improvement is a good problem for now at least. I just am terrified of being told I could work because I can't; I'm doing this well only because I'm not working. But I trust my doctors to convey that and my honest answers should too. The good thing is you shouldn't have to wait terribly long. I think it was over in maybe a month. Much better than the initial application.

I'm so scared my pdoc will say I'm good to work because I have been doing better this year. Still not up to par though. I just had a recent depressive episode and he's still do med changes.
I'm praying he doesn't say I'm fine to work. I also put my t on there so hopefully she will vouch for me.

I think if he thought you could work he'd have said something to you. They may not even send him the form; my pdoc has never filled out anything for me for SSDI. Both the initial application and the review they only asked my therapist to fill out forms. I assume a therapist is more likely to get the paperwork back quickly. (Mine certainly is; my pdoc would do it in a session and would have to make time for that session and it would be hard).
If they do say that you are denied they will pay you through the appeals process. But I think that's unlikely. You've not exactly spent the last year sitting around talking about how bored you are and how healthy you feel all the time. Life can be better without being so good you can work.
