A few weeks ago I went to a check up at the eye doctor. I ordered contacts and glasses. I ordered a year's worth (12 pair) of contacts and a pair of glasses (multi-focal; basically "tri" focals).

I had picked up the contacts last week and I hadn't used them since I got a trial pair and am still wearing them. I happened to look at the side of the boxes to see what the powers were. Mine should've been -4.00 and -3.75. So I should've had two boxes of each but instead I got one -4 and a -8!

I took took them back and tried on my new glasses. Easy peasy! No problem moving from each of the three regions in the glass. And so clear to look through.

The people at the office said they'd already ordered me another -4.00 a few days ago so it should be in today. Yay. (I paid enough for all of this!)

So no anxiety, no anger. I was actually pleased to find out my glasses were in even though they hadn't called me yet. Are they just extra nice there, or am I have a good couple weeks?

Could be a little of both. Enjoy it whatever it is. You've seemed like you've had a couple of good days/weeks.

I could see myself getting way irritated by all this (depending on my mood)! Great job! And I'm glad all the eye wear is working out. I have transition lenses (bi-focals) and I hate them. As soon as the money tree starts shooting bills, I'm getting a new pair.

What do you hate about them? I have a friend who got them and hated them from the get-go. He put them in the drawer by his bed and has never worn them again. At least two of my friends mentioned going down stairs or stepping off of curbs as being a problem. I haven't tried that yet.

Its been good. I hope I don't crash. There have been stressers like the prom and my daughter going to the movies with a boy I didn't know. I'm waiting for maintenance to come look at my tub because it empties really slowly. It fills up half way when I take a shower. (I've been using the kids' bathroom.)

Children! N3 won't let me take his picture and he wants to go out to eat. (No) I can't do the laundry until I pick up N2. Not sure when that will be.

I found the times of the class online. Imagine that! So I went and got oil for my car (it leaks) and picked up N2. Then went to get N1 to add the oil. Now I just want to get into bed but honestly, I haven't washed my hair in nearly a week, so I'd better go with Plan A and get a shower and do laundry. Speaking of human taxi cabs, tomorrow, I have to drive N2 to the eye doctor for driver's ed. I'm not really sure where it is so I hope N2 does!

Ok so now I'm showered and in my pajamas. Comfy! Laundry is going. I'm trying my new glasses. My main complaint is they aren't very tight. If I look at the floor, they'll fall off. I guess when I go back to the eye dr's for my contacts, I'll have them see about that. I did try going down the stairs, and it just felt like my legs were really long and my feet were far away, but I didn't think I'd fall. I'm reading this board just fine. My blind spots seem to be pretty big, but maybe I'm comparing that to contacts. All in all, they aren't as bad as I feared, but I'm still getting used to them.

Going to the eye dr to see about the glasses falling off. They opened yesterday at 7:30 but today they don't open until 11! Oh well. Oh- and N3 seems to be up on time today!

They fixed the glasses. Bent them with heat. N3 didn't do what he was supposed to. I took N2 to the eye dr. today and she has perfectly healthy eyes and 20/20 vision! Somehow this is being communicated to the driver's school.
