I see him in 2 hours. I have no idea what to tell him. I am having trouble putting to words my symptoms.

Also I want to do a wash out and maybe not even go back on meds. Even though I know this is a really bad idea.

What to tell him?

I am pro meds, but if medications make you feel worse, then you have a valid concern and you should tell that to your pdoc.

IMO, we should not settle for a med cocktail that makes us feel worse.

Med wash might not be a bad idea if you're experiencing side effect hell

Remember to tell him you want a med wash. He'll probably not agree but compromise. Is there an IOP you could go to while you do a wash?

Well he said if I really wanted a med wash I needed to at least be in a day program. So for right now we are going to reduce my lithium and see if it helps with the lingering symptoms/side effects I am having. I see him again Thursday and will discuss if we need to add Depakote, Tegretol or Clozapine. He is also all for me reducing some of the other meds that we have been using to manage side effects. I see him next week as well too. He is keeping a close eye on me.

My T wants to know why I am unwilling to do a day program. She says my level of care warrants it.

Why won't you do a day program, if you don't mind answering? I'm glad your p doc is keeping close tabs on you right now....hugs

I have done them 5 times before and never got anything out of them. Plus I need to work right now I have deadlines. Also I made a promise to myself that I would stay out of hospitals and programs this year.
