My routine is simple:
Lock door, open blinds and window, double lock door, turn off light, run to bed, laptop is on youtube, watching something that has no meaning till 3 am, I am half dead by that time anyways, lowers the sound until I can barely just hear it, hope to sleep, doesn't sleep, instead is taken away by the living nightmare that is my psychosis, starts crying, ends crying and starts doing some type of a physical activity, exhausted, head hurts, eyes hurts, whispers and screams are all around, anti-psychotics doesn't work, too harsh, sleeping pills are a no no, have a past with suicidal thoughts, has tolerance to a lot of those pills anyways, so what's the point.. falls asleep at about 5 am, wakes up at 7 because of the elephant in the room.. does an unproductive day, and the cycle begins again... at least now I have homework from my psychiatrist.. now I have to think what kind of an object I am..

I'm sorry you're struggling so much. I hate not being able to sleep and to pair it with psychosis must be awful.

Your a frozen object ?

Sounds like mania to me...they recently gave me ZOLOFT..about 2 months...have you ever tried that one? For me it makes me sleep soundly...Its not like I take it and it makes me "drowsy"...I do take it at night...but I don't feel an effect from it..I just noticed after about 2 weeks taking it...I was sleeping more and more hours in a row..instead of being up every hour.

Saphris is knocking me out quite well. I wake alert and refreshed. But it only has slight hypomania to fight. I am sorry to hear you are having such a tough time of it.

Taking Melatonin (6 mg) two hours before you want to go to bed helps. If you take it together with sleep meds, it is wrong timing. Need to take it two hours earlier.

I take: Seroquel Extended Release, Depakote Extended Release, Atarax, and Melatonin. That is 4 sleep meds! I need that many...

I was on Atarax, funny story is that they actually prescribed it to me to drink half in the morning and half before bed.. while at school, starting in 7:30 am.. I did not do anything productive those months. And then some p doc prescribed me melatonin, and it did not work because I was already used to the Atarax.. so I have a meeting with a new p doc (2nd meeting) and she would have hard time prescribing the right things..

Saphris has helped me sleep like nothing before it has. Everyone responds differently to meds though. Tonight I'm having trouble sleeping even after the Saphris so I just took an Atarax cause I'm itching.....hopefully it will put me to sleep soon. I hope you find something to help.

Saphris, Seroquel and Geodon are all good for sleep. I hope you can get some relief soon. Losing sleep is miserable. Best wishes.

When I had insomnia temazepam worked great for me. But it is a benzo and most doctors won't prescribe it.

Can you cut out the YouTube from your routine? The light from devices makes us stay awake.

I would, but the sheer silence and darkness will drive me more insane. I use it as a light and sound. Don't wanna use lamps for the whole night because bulbs explode, and I don't like things exploding. (Music doesn't work, I'm a musician, I follow the details)
