Seven years for the most part, while on meds. I was only on lamictal and alprazolam at the time too. I don't know what happened!

Mine got worse through my 40's, but it pretty much non-existent in my 50's. I haven't been on meds for over 4 years now.

It is hard to say, I thought I was stablefor about three years but now that I am on deferent medications friends have told me I was more an over medicated zombie during that time. I was never stable as a child, and for my early 20's I refused treatment. Until about a 6 months ago you could also stay a was on two year stable streak but that is if you ignore the 100lbs that Latuda made me instantly gain and the effects it had on my social and romantic life. About 6 months ago I developed narcolepsy which is a whole new game to play. I really can only take it one day at a time and hope I can handle what comesat me.

I do t know if bipolar is even an accurate diagnosis for me anymore. I am seeing a new doctor and her evaluation of my symptoms put me more in schizoaffective disorder. I am comfortable with the bipolar diagnosis after carrying it for so many years though.

Stable on meds has been about 1 year then I ruin it by coming off my meds cause I feel sooo good. Then I am back to square one again. Then I am stable for a few months and I ruin it and so on. Its a vicious circle I am in. But yeah 1 whole year is the longest I have been stable on meds. I haven't tried off completely though

Interesting. Thank you.

My depressions have been med-resistant since the beginning. I have been very med compliant through the years, trying and re-trying meds and combinations thereof.
