How do you stop your depression cycle. I am trying real hard to not be in bed, clean and get to my mma classes. I got some cbt insight at my last session and trying to apply it anytime a negative thought pops up. Im trying real hard. I want to break the cycle of going to bed and not doing anything. Actually watching tv would be a win. I have a friend who is gonna help me rearrange my living room to its previous state, which was a lot more organized and spacious. Need to clean though.

This mind sound odd but often I lessen a depression just reading a page or two of Calvin & Hobbes. If my depression is really deep it still helps a little and that little bit can make a world of difference.
Finding something humorous really improves your outlook on life at least for a while.

Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

You're doing what you need to in order to break the cycle. You're in IOP and working closely with your doctors. Those are huge steps. You can't expect to pop out of bed one day and shout, "I'm cured!" It takes time. You have the luxury of time. Each small success builds on the next. Going to IOP and having a second set of eyes on your meds are huge steps. If I were you I'd chill a bit and let those two things settle in before you start to concern yourself with your time in bed, cluttered house, and mma.

You're basically asking a rhetorical question, as you are presently doing the answer. Be encouraged, my friend. We're all rooting for you. Keep us posted.

I agree with bioche. You're doing everything you need to do. Any small step is a victory. Try not to be so hard on yourself and expect everything to change all in one shot. You're doing great!!!

I'm sorry your not feeling up to par.I've been depressed since march & what helps me through is to watch "just for laughs" on youtube.Very funny gags & not 1 person gets hurt.I really hope that you can find a good outlet to help
