This morning, one of my friends from high school and college contacted me, asking if I'd be interested in giving trombone lessons at the local high school.

It's not a part-time job or anything, but it is work and it's work that I'll enjoy doing. I've been wanting to get back into the music scene for a while, but the drive or motivation or some similar but unknown agent just wasn't there. I think this is it; that spark that'll kick start my engine.

I also applied for Disability back in 2014. I finally was approved. I only received a lump sum for 2014-2015, but that's better than nothing.

I've got some cash(which I'm saving...frugality is wise these days) and I've got a student.

Maybe this is my sunrise, ending an almost three-year night.

"Reluctantly crouched at the starting line
Engines pumping and thumping in time
The green light flashes, the flags go up..."

That's excellent news! Being a former rock musician you know the power of music it has on you.The only instrument I fiddle around with (no pun intended) is my trusted harmonica.Give the gift of learning music if you got it. PS my neighbor bought me a tee shirt that says,"will play harmonica for free.will stop for money".I still love her. Best wishes & you won't be sorry
