I know that hypersexuality somehow goes along with being bipolar but I have been experiencing this for about 2 weeks straight now! I am aroused randomly without reason at anytime, anywhere: in the car, at work, at school, it keeps me up at night! My counselor says it's because I'm out of my routine, need to start back going to the gym to "use up that built up energy", and take my seroquel every night so it wouldn't keep me up! But I feel sooo freakish, someone please admit to me that I am not alone, have anyone had this problem before with the disorder...

Side note : I have also been broken up with my ex for a month now so maybe I've had this problem before but never to this extent because he was there, but even then, after its done It still wouldn't be enough for me!

I haven't, but I know it can go along with the manic side of bipolar. I don't know that it is the case otherwise with bipolar, but maybe someone else does.

First of all, you are not alone. There's normal fluctuations with Bipolar, and it's more common than you would think. My libido is naturally on the high side, so it's especially high when manic, and I have experienced exactly what you are describing, especially while hypo. You are not freakish at all. 2 weeks is a pretty short of time, and if that's not your baseline, you'll come back down eventually.

One thing I can't help but note: it is possible the break up could have something to do with it as well, but it is nothing to worry about....it's probably just an adjustment issue. Sorry that you're going through that.

You're definitely not alone. Been through it a few times and a couple really difficult intense episodes.

I was asexual(poor hubby) for years. Now I have been self sexing one time per day. Still none for my hubby.
I have kept it secret from him. This has been going on for 2 weeks.
My internet usage, drinking, eating, picking have all gone up but my therapist thinks these are addictions not mania. ( she doesn't know about the self sexing because I am embarressed about it) I think she is wrong.
looking at changing my meds this week, abilify is not cutting it.

My normal sex drive is mild. When I started getting bipolar symptoms several showed up at once. I was super manic and yes a very high sex drive came with it. Luckily for me I had a sex partner and he was able to see me almost daily. Even when I was able to see him it was not enough. I would masturbate daily too. Then I was diagnosed and put on a few meds. I was put on an AP Risperdal. It changed the game for me. My sex drive was low low. I'm not asexual but the intense craving is not there. I stay on the Risperdal just for that reason.

You are not alone. I'm starting a mania stage today and I'm already ready to hit the bed. But husband is at work.

Definitely not alone there. I just got out of a hypomanic episode during which i had an extremely high sex drive. Currently without a partner and spent more time masturbating than I'd care to admit.
