I am no stranger to mania. I have bipolar I, high manias, I've ruined my finances, made questionable sexual decisions which led to something triggering and also me being a victim of a crime. I've been hospitalized six times, sometimes for 3 months at a time.
I haven't had a manic episode for several years. Just some hypo and a lot of depressions. I just got into supportive housing after being on a waiting list for 2 years. I don't want to mess this housing situation up. I know they've seen this before with other residents. But I'm crawling out of my skin and want to run a marathon.

congrats on the supportive housing! I don't think you'll mess it up if you're determined to do well.
Also, running in a marathon sounds great! I think exercise is so important for mental wellbeing. You're on the right track. Keep it up |

I agree with bluebicycle. Congratulations. If you continue feeling this way (crawling out of your skin), could you touch base with your pdoc? Sending big hugs.

Running sounds like a good idea. It's a lot better for than the other manic options that you did in the past. I think we who are prone to mania begin to loose trust in our own brains, because they "betrayed" us.
Getting in touch with your T or Pdoc sounds like a good idea too.
