I'm taking steps to get into therapy. But I'm dragging my feet a bit. I did ask my husband for the name of the place we used to go before. As I expected he got freaked out and wanted to know if there was a problem between us. I assured him that is not the case, but I think he's worried now. (We did go there for marriage counseling so I can see why he is worried. But I also went there for individual counseling)

I know I need to go but I don't want to. I am going to do it though. Pffft.
I got majorly pissed off at my meds last night. I was looking at them in my hand and it felt like I had a handful of rocks. Why do these little pellets of chemicals make my life livable? It just sucks

Every time I have to go to therapy I get pissed off that I have to go that day. I find it does help though just to be able to talk to someone outside of my marriage. I don't really have friends, just one that I text now and then, but I don't want to bother her with my problems. My husband gets tired of hearing it too. I think it helps to hear an outside view and the coping skills I'm learning are helpful.

What type of therapy are you going to do? I'm doing DBT this time around. Yes it's supposed to be taught in a group, but groups make me want to curb stomp people. Individual stuff is a lot better for me.

I genuinely think you'll appreciate therapy again, so I'm glad you're going to go through with it. You won't regret it, even if you find out it's not for you anymore. Always good to try before saying no.

And yep, I feel the same way about meds too. That's my battle every night and half the reason I'm non-compliant.

I would so love to be free of therapists, medications, mood swings, sigh.

You are very intelligent. You will know if any given therapist is the one to help you or not. I think it's great you are giving it a try!

I don't know what I'd do without mine. I've truly needed his help to live through the severe Bipolar depressions and the CPTSD.

Good luck with finding a compatible therapist!
