Yesterday, I was ready to completely give up. I crawled in the bed at before 5 and stayed there until 6 a.m. I was still tired this morning. I cried several times yesterday and first thing this morning. In fact, i've been tearful for several days now (a little over a week). Then, as the day went on, my mood lifted. Just like that. Granted, i missed my night meds last night, so that was a change, otherwise, same life, same situations, same stress. I truly don't know how I'm going to feel when i wake up, or by the end of a given day. I just shake my head. Does anyone else look at themselves after an episode and think, "What was that?"

depends.
with the regular ups and downs, I don't tend to do that- because as far as i'm concerned, it's natural for the disorder and so I don't question it sometimes though, when the feelings don't add up for me (like anxiety turning to tears), I do think about it. |

All the time. I'll go things and just shake my head and say "well then" or "that was new". Unless it was really bad, then it's more like "wtf". Lol...having episodes still feels strange to me.

I think that's part of what makes this illness tough to deal with, not really ever knowing why our moods shift. For me, when it happens, sometimes the contrast into a different mood altogether has left me thinking, "geez, I thought I got over this hump already," and left wonder, "wtf?" Yeah...

I try not to worry about the ups and downs in a daily way.
My old Pdoc said " if its not longer than 2 weeks then he doesnt consider it a true swing. And I believe that. The last 10 weeks have been hell on me. Some days I cry and get mad and ragefilled all in 24 hours... Yes I have shaken my head sometimes and been like WTH was that?? I have gone Mixed before and that is how im feeling Mixed is pure hell on earth. I hope your feeling better very soon.

Yes, I do this constantly. It's very draining. Sometimes I have to take naps after a certain mood swing because there's so much that's going on. Now I have to make sure I get decent sleep and eat right. It always depends, I never know what I'll wake up too and how I'll be feeling. It's insane.
