I can't sit still; I'm feeling hyperactive/restless. Manic? Probably not. Hypomanic? Likely.

I'm currently at work, going nuts sitting in my chair. I keep squirming like a toddler who doesn't want to eat their veggies.

I've already walked through the office four times. (It's actually a big building, too.) I'm going to rip my hair out! It's awful.

I also can't sleep. I'm not tired. My eyes are wide open and looking every which way.

When I'm awake, i wander through the halls of my house and at work, just to cope with the restlessness. But even wandering does not help very much. It's like I've got a motor that just won't shut off.

I keep talking to everyone about all sorts of things and unknowingly jumping from subject to subject until someone points it out to me. I'm trying not to jump, but my mouth and mind are traveling too fast. You think I would've learned by now to shut my face.

How long has your sleep been poor?

Can you call your Pdoc "? seems things always get worse on the weekend.. Maybe a med adjustment would help you before things keep going downhill.

Maybe after work you can do some heavy cardio workout, that can help burn off some on the symptoms.

I get that motor inside me feeling quite often. It usually means I'm not eating enough or have not slept well.

Blue if I recall you are not compliant with your meds. Call your health care team.

Sometimes I get this way. Usually every sensation is too much for me. The light bothers me, dark bothers me, noise bothers me but silence frustrates me too. I never know how to quench my need for relief. It reminds me of the levels of hell except I'm here. What ends up helping is techno music and pacing fast. It sounds like wandering doesn't help but maybe quicken it to a brisk walk somewhere, expend some energy. I will say that usually this is a transitional feeling, like the day before I'm in a different mood episode usually its down to up. If you've felt this way before an episode in the past you may want to check in with the pdoc.

I’ve been there with the talking. Avoid caffeine and call the p doc.

This is what happens when you don't take your meds as required. You need to call your pdoc and get back on your meds regularly.

What helps me is to take a sleeping pill and FORCE myself to sleep for a long time, and then when I wake up I usually feel less hypomanic or "charged up" as I call it. Also make sure you're staying away from caffeine which I'm sure you already know...

Hope everything works out and you get it figured out soon!

Thanks guys.

I was taking my meds every other day or every few days. I was being lazy and didn't give a sh_t, I guess. It was kinda like "meh, skipping a day or two... or three... won't hurt." I guess it did.

I have a therapist appointment in 15 mine, so I guess we can discuss things then.

Please for your own sake and safety take your medications as prescribed you might have been able to avoid this episode.
