I think my therapist was right yesterday. I may be entering a hypomanic phase. I've been on turbo mode all day today after 3 hours of sleep and it's worrying me. Every time I get like this, I crash into serious depression a few days later. I want to be ready this time.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for this inevitable crash? I know coping strategies, but I'm thinking preventative measures.

I've never been able to prepare because for whatever reason I never see my mood changes coming and they hit me like a ton of bricks. What would I do? Make sure I'm taking my meds and see my therapist. I would do my errands and grocery shopping before I crashed. I would reach out to a friend and let them know that I may need some extra support. I would shower and tidy the house. I would also make sure I get sunshine and exercise. Lots of self care.

One of the times I was IP, I was told to remember 3 things when I went home. Eat, sleep , meds.

Get as much sleep as you can right now even if it's from a prn. When do you see the dr. next?

I don't see my pdoc for another couple of weeks. I think I can hold out until then. In the meantime I'm just going to do as you and others have said which is try to get sleep and stay on the meds. Hopefully this will just blow over.

Put yourself on a strict schedule and follow it !

Sleep at X time
Wake up at X time
Exercise daily
Healthy diet
Take meds as prescribed
Etc , schedules do help us stay more stable.

I hope you have a soft landing

Well I tried to get some sleep last night and only managed about two hours again. I guess I should probably try and get an earlier pdoc appointment. I haven't even taken my Adderall yet and I feel motivated. It's so weird haha.
