So tonight I am going to a holiday party for my family on my mom’s father side of the family. The last two years I went I was depressed. My mom talked me into going. This year I’m actually feeling up to going with no pressure. It’s been a while since I’ve been around professionals in a social setting. I did some coping skills all day. Wish me luck everyone.

Hey everyone,

I had a great time. I was relaxed and talkative. The social worker came out in me. Both my daughters came and they had a ball. We ate then played games, played dirty Santa. Lastly we danced and talked. Thank you guys for the well wishes. I always feel supported here.

Yes see we get it! What’s wild is I tapered off Zoloft and started a B 12-Complex vitamin. Usually I get really low in the fall/winter. I think the holiday party on the 25th will be fine. Now that I made it through the biggest party of the two. I felt up to cooking with my mom. Spent five hours cooking.

Everyone wanting to play brings a gift....like $10 max spending limit. Each person gets to pull a number. The person with number 1 picks a gift, then the person with number two picks a gift. The person with number one can steal the gift from number two. Then number two will go pick another gift. A gift can only be stole twice then it’s safe. Number three will pick a gift. Number two can steal from number three or keep the gift they picked. Gifts can be anything. My mom played and put a bottle of caster oil in a real pretty gift bag. Lol

That is so good to hear about the B12 vitamin. What is the dosage? So you say it has been helping you with anxiety?

Well everyone there was drama at the party today. My oldest daughter and my mom had a heated argument. Then my daughter would not let it go. She was trying to fight??? I had to put her and her friend out. I told them to get their things and leave. She’s 20 and thinks she’s so grown no one can tell her anything. The argument started because my daughter was fixing to-go plates and everyone had not ate. My mom asked her to please wait until everyone eats before taking food home. All my daughter had to do was say “no problem”. But no she started an argument. After her and her friend left things got better. Everyone ate, talked and laughed. I found out my oldest niece is having a baby. She’s 23 and it’s her first baby.

Sorry about the bad there. Very sorry. My daughter wouldn't respond to me on the phone at all today or come see me. I really didn't have a great Christmas because of that. At least you still had a bit of great news

Your correct. I hate to hear that your daughter would not respond. Hopefully she will come around.

Opps i am sorry that there was drama. May be your daughter will feel bad and apologize? Even not, i guess arguments are expected this time of the year.
I am glad that everyone else was able to resume the joy despite the negativity.
Once again, merry Christmas.
