I am just wondering if anyone who has ever taken Lunesta as a sleep aid has had the same reactions.

I took the med last night for the first time and it definitely worked. I slept all the way through the night and slept soundly. The problem I have is that when I woke up this morning I was literally exhausted. I could not keep my eyes open. I drove my son to school half asleep!

I also checked my email today and found that I had sent two emails last night before I went to bed, shortly after taking the pill and I swear I cannot even remember writing the emails. I cannot remember typing the emails or what I was thinking.

Anyway, I have been very stressed out lately because my husband and I are seperated and I am very depressed. I am on Lexapro for depression and Xanax for anxiety and I'm wondering if the combination of the meds affected me in a weird way.

Well, if your taking Xanax and Lunesta your going to experience some amnesia. Xanax is a very potent sedative-hypnotic medication and combine it with Lunesta (another sedative - hypnotic ) your asking for trouble. My advice is tell your doctor about your experience ASAP/ Good Luck!!

msinfiniti,

The amnesia can be a side effect of the Lunesta as well as Ambiem. While on these medications I have done a variety of bizarre things. I have one friend, a non-drinker, that would drive to the corner Quick mart buy beer, drink it and have no memory of it the next morning. In fact she had no idea she was doing it until she complained to her roommate about leaving beer cans laying around.
