No dose increase. I have been on it for 5 yrs. am on 10 mg.

I just came back from vacation. I had forgotten my zolpidem and was feeling manic. I took my son's trazadone every night. It usually helped. Sometimes I also took a benadryl.

I add two 3mg of melatonin lozenges 15 minutes before bed. (The effects are quick, but don't last long. Although, it does promote help staying asleep. The drowsiness, is what doesn't stick around.) One hour before bed I one to two 500mg capsules of valerian root. I drink either chamomile or valerian tea at night. I also try to at least get in at least a 10 min meditation session within two hours before bed. I, also, enjoy a nice hot shower with a body wash that smells good and lotion, that also smells good. It's been working for me, and they took away my seroquel and cut my trazodone in half.

Benzos

I only resort to those when in an upswing tho.

My sleep generally sucks, so good sleep hygiene and a sleep ritual works for me as I am a creature of habit.

Visualization exercises helps when my thoughts are racing on the autobahn.

— adding the 3rd tablet of tegretol has made a huge difference. I take 150 mg Wellbutrin in am. I think the Wellbutrin lets me go up too high sometimes.

Usually I either
A. Have to have everything turned off + my night meds and occasionally a 50mg of Seroquel
-or-
B. Fall asleep with everything on + my night meds + seroquel 50mg

Just depends on how my brain works that night
