My words are for everyone to take what they need and leave what they don't. Claim, attribute, or outright pinch. I give them to all.
I'm sorry that you are alone. We used to have great mental health drop in centers here, which were absolutely wonderful. Nobody had to be alone, and they had pretty long hours, free meals, well-paid jobs and training for those who wanted it, lots of activities and trips. But the acursed Powers That Be our mental health system around here closed them all. So many people went "downhill" when they closed.

Didn't know those ever existed.
Today made me feel very much not alone. After my prior post herein, I went to a NOW rally. There were a lot of like-minded people there.

Great! So glad you had a good, not-alone day. and THANKS for going to the NOW rally. Maybe there is a NOW chapter or some other PEACEFUL political group locally you could become part of. I stopped participating in political groups. I could never find one that wasn't dysfunctional and filled with in-fighting.

And as for mental health drop in centers, would it be a good idea to check around and see if there is one/are any in your area? Some are publicly funded, others are not. Some are affiliated with mental health organizations. NAMI might have info.
