Something has not been right with me for a few days. I will admit that I've been in the midst of my monthly period, but I know it goes well beyond that. Just the smallest things have been making my blood simmer, and bigger things have been making my blood boil. I do have some stressors coming up, but oddly much of the anger is for things that I should not be getting angry about. Like angry ruminations on things that happened 15 years ago. Or an issue my husband is having with a British clothing company he ordered something from (we're in the US). The little stuff is just like the mess that's in the kitchen, or something the cashier said at the grocery store. I'll be in my car and start to yell as if I'm yelling at someone, even though they're not present. I'll do the same at home. Or if I'm not yelling at a pretend person, I'm jerking and grinding my teeth, and hitting the pillow.

I don't necessarily think this is a mixed hypomania coming on. I think it surly is the affect of stress on me. I certainly hope it doesn't trigger any kind of episode.

Can people relate to this? I wonder if anyone has any suggestions other than taking a benzo. I'm trying to wean off my Ativan and would hate to start taking a higher dose during this effort.

By the way, if there is anyone who lives in the UK, does the UK have anything akin to the "Better Business Bureau" in the United States? The Better Business Bureau compiles a directory of trustworthy companies that offer good and trustworthy service to their customers. It is also a place where you can send a complaint about a company that is abusive or dishonest to customers. Don't worry, I'll leave the complaints to my husband who is much more imperturbable than me. Plus, the problem is actually between him and that company, and yet I'm getting furious about it.

Sorry you're having issues.
I'm sure the Brits have a ministry of something or other that will pretend to take your complaint and sneer as they pop it into the round storage bin with the lid that pops open when you step on part of it. That is what the BBB does here. It's a club basically, that anyone can pay their dues to be in. Politicians can be part of the BBB, by writing themselves down as the charity that accepts donations for a charity unknown. They then can legally accept bribes. There's a few more steps, but it does go that route in some states.

That is a shame if that's almost always true, SorryShaped. It's hard to imagine how companies get away with not only such extremely abhorrent customer service, but in our case, what seems to be criminal behavior all for two stupid pairs of corduroy slacks. Either they never even sent them, or the shipping company they used stole them. Either way, we should not be responsible for the costs.

True, you shouldn't. I've gotten entirely empty boxes from China, Japan, and India before. Nothing inside. Two were gracious enough when I showed the unboxing video to ship my order immediately. I started filming my unpacking because of this and other partially-filled orders of mostly flashlights. I used to give them away regularly for whatever reason I liked. Did you at least get a box? If not, was there a confirmation of shipping? Overseas has a number, usually.

Hi SorryShaped. No box. Nothing. Actually, my husband had them send them to his sister in Czech Republic. Yes, he knows her address. He sends her things all of the time and she receives them. That address hasn't changed in more than 60 years, and hubby did give them the right address on the order form. In early December he went to stay with his sister in Czech Republic and expected to have received them there already. He didn't. And they never came. He called the company and told them and they insisted that he gave the wrong address and that they "fulfilled their part" and basically too bad. He called American Express (the card he used) and they took off the charge. They had the nerve to send a paper bill to us in the US. A bill for something we never received at his sister's house. If they did actually send it, then someone at the shipping service they used stole the pants. That's not our fault if that was the case. Good companies wont charge a person for an item that was misdelivered, never delivered and/or stolen by someone else.

They keep insisting we gave them a wrong address. Imagine if you provided your home address and someone kept telling you you gave the wrong address, even though the order confirmation showed your correct address?

Then don't pay the bill. Are they going to take you to international britches court? Chuck it and order elsewhere maybe?

I just wanted to offer some hugs. That’s not a nice way to feel at all. I hope it doesn’t turn into an episode for you.
