I'm about ready to start stuffing my face with muffins, cheetos, chips, cake, bread, anything with carbs basically. This low carb crap sucks. I feel like I have more energy but I'm not enjoying the energy. My IBS is gone too. My moods are all over the place though. I hope it evens out soon. I found this article on the subject and many more.

I know it's hard, but think of how far you've come. Do you really want to start all over again. Someday, I go a whole day on just redbull and fruit. But I also need more carbs Mood has been wonky

Nah I'd rather not start all over again. I have been eating more actually than I was when my husband was home. I wasn't eating much cause I wanted to make sure my husband had enough food, so it's a bit weird to eat this much. I've lost 4 lbs the past week with the modified diet, cause after my husband left all I ate was carbs for a while and gained some weight back that I had already lost. lol. mmmm muffins. I still need to stop drinking sweet tea, but I'm getting there. Doing about half sweet tea now and half sugar free crap. Tonight I'm having some chicken and asparagus for dinner. Probably will have some pineapple for dessert.

Getting off carbs and you will feel like crap for awhile.

Took me about 2 weeks in the past. Physically if it’s helping you then I would try and focus on that plus

You can do this !

Man I hate water. bleh. I've been moving all day doing chores. I'm not used to doing so much. My back is tight tonight. I was gonna go to the gym, but then decided a clean bed to sleep in would be better, so I did 4 loads of laundry to wash the sheets and all the blankets. lol. I cleaned up the kitchen too. I should be tired by now. 7:30 is usually bed time but it's 7:41 and I'm still buzzin. I did wake up late this morning, so I guess that's why. Oh well.

Thanks christina. I just hope I don't stab anyone in the meantime. haha. Gonna try to go without the provigil tomorrow so maybe I won't be so amped up.

I think my mood has finally evened out. Man what a week. haha. I think my husband is happier now. lmao. I think it helped that I saw my friend yesterday and got a hug. Hadn't had a hug for month. Sometimes missing human contact is rough.

Have you heard of FODMAPs diet? My Tdoc recommended it to me. It does have some carbs in it. The idea is that IBS is linked to mood and doing this diet intermittently when IBS is bad can help mood too. It's pretty restrictive, but brief. Then you return to your "normal" eating. I haven't tried it yet.

I haven't tried it. My pdoc keeps recommending the MIND diet.

I'm seeing a nutritionist on the 26th so gonna see what she says. I'm close to eating vegetarian except the small amount of eggs and chicken/turkey I've been eating. Man cutting carbs is no joke.

Yes I take pictures of my meals, mostly to send to my husband cause we exchange pictures of what we eat during the day. I'm eating more than when he was here, so he's glad about that. I've been losing more weight by eating more too. Now I just need to add exercise.
