I'm trying not to scream, cut, both or maybe even cry. Everything is to loud. I have no idea how I'm going to handle volunteering tomorrow, it's not like I function well even on the zyprexa. I have no idea when they'll have my meds in I have to call tomorrow again. I'm eating so that's okay. Reading is getting harder. My skin feels tight. I'm so antsy I hope this gets fixed soon.

My pdoc appointment was 3 days before I ran out but he put it in as 10 mg AM 10 mg PM went to fill it and they said okay that they'll order my meds. Then they needed a prior auth. So I called pdoc and left a message. The next day I got a call saying insurance said no. So he wrote 20mg for night. I haven't heard back anything I ran out Thursday. I have to wait until tomorrow to see if they ordered it or if it has to be pre auth. again because it's a higher dose. I hate insurance.

If he changed it to two prescriptions for the same medicine (10mg each) the insurance is likely to object. He should know better. Otherwise your insurance are being idiots. A change in dose shouldn't require pa. (Especially for a non-scheduled drug!)

Each time he has changed the dosage I've needed a pre auth. because they're disolvable. So now I have to figure out how to cut a disolvable medication.

I can see why you're aggravated. I would be, too. Try to be good to yourself. Take a warm bath, listen to peaceful music, meditate, etc.
Thanks for this!

Do you have some Benedryl or something you can take to sleep?

This is really unacceptable!

People talk about food security. As far as i am concerned, med security it is a thing too. I recently switched pharmacies because the one i've dealt with for 20 years started being bozos and giving bad service. The new one isn't much better. I make sure i order my meds ten days before i run out to allow for the inevitable two or three mix-ups to occur.

I remember when it was pleasant going to the pharmacy and the staff all knew me by name. Now, if it's anything other than an ordeal i am happy.

Sorry this is happening for you too. You shouldn't have to do without your meds.
Thanks for this!

Do you have some Benedryl or something you can take to sleep? I have ambien that I'm taking at night so I can get some sleep like 5-6 hrs but that doesn't help during the day. I'm hoping it gets solved later today. I'm going to look crazy today and there's nothing I can do about it.

Ah, I’m glad you have something for sleep.

Maybe you should consider calling in sick for the volunteering?

Keep yourself safe; I hope this is resolved tomorrow!!

My insurance is pretty generous about covering my prescriptions early, but it depends on your pharmacist. I get the scheduled drugs--though I think she's uptight about that too--but I don't understand why I can't have Seroquel early. It didn't matter to their last pharmacist; why does she even care? I am paranoid about running out.

Well I got the Zyprexa! Now my lamictal has to go through prior authorization because he wants me to take it twice a day. I'm going to take 1 20 mg tonight and then taking 1/2 a 20 mg like he wants me to. I don't know how I'm going to split desolvables.

Call the pharmacist. They should be able to tell you if/how to do it.
