how much metformin where you taking?

I take 500mg ER twice a day with meals.

I also see you are taking topamax how is that going for weight loss? any side effects?

500 mg ER once a day for the metformin.

I take 25 mg of topamax. That's not really for weight control and I doubt it does anything. At that dose I don't have side effects. I couldn't tolerate higher doses although I don't remember what happened. I've stayed on the 25 mg because it seems to help with nightmares.
