I can't enjoy anything at all right now. I just pace in my room, back and forth. Nothing feels comfortable. If I'm doing something, I wish I could stop. But at the same time I can't sit still. I can't nap. I can't do anything. Only pace and pace. Hopeless. There's no hope at all for me. I'm miserable. My life is falling apart before my eyes.

Sorry to both you all with my thoughts. I just wanted to feel not completely alone for a moment.

You're not alone, that's for sure. You're also not hopeless.

I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable. I know what that feels like. Perhaps tell yourself, "This too shall pass"?

Have you contacted your pdoc? You sound miserable and I hope it ends soon for you.

Your situation...I feel so bad about it. It is absolutely awful to not be able to enjoy anything. Please know that there is hope.

When did you last talk with your pdoc?

Anhedonia as in depression? But pacing at the same time? A mixed episode?

You called it. Pdoc thinks I'm in a mixed episode. She prescribed a bigger dose of clonazepam to be taken daily in the hopes of lessening the agitation.

You poor thing!

Is trileptal helping you? Trileptal has scant evidence to support its use in bipolar. Have you tried actually taking Tegretol?

Trileptal is a very good drug. My pdoc has seen very good results and was offering it to me, but I wanted to try the lithium first.

I read about Trileptal. There are a lot of good patient reviews of it and it has milder side effects and fewer drugs interactions than Tegretol.

It definitely has a better side effects profile than Tegretol in general, though it instantly gave me headaches (and the pharmacist warned of them) and Tegretol actually prevents headaches in some folks. I also read good reviews, but the pharmacist said that there is no evidence for its use in bipolar from clinical studies, so I wonder if the good reviews refer to the milder side effects and the perceived effectiveness comes from placebo effect.
