I feel like a switch was flipped this morning.

I drove to therapy this morning at 87mph in a 55mph zone because I thought it would be fun to drive fast. The thrill of things!

I also have a permanent smile on my face and just crack up at anything and everything. For example, my therapist and I were randomly talking about kids with glasses and how little kids (like aged 0-3) tend to wear goggles so that the glasses don't fall off or whatever. I just found that hilarious. And I also found it hilarious when my therapist and I talked about my severe sinus issues that likely require surgery. I thought surgery was the funniest thing in the world.

I'm still hearing and seeing things, and getting psychic visions. But they are more intense and frequent now. The visions, as always, have taken over my eyesight. Like I'll be sitting down watching TV, when all of a sudden my eyesight goes black and then I get a vision of the future. The future vision is usually guided by a voice. The voice tells me what is happening... except sometimes the voice mumbles and I can't understand it. The visions only last for a max of 5 seconds though.

I'm getting normal sleep. Over the course of seven days, I got 9 hrs, 10 hrs, 9 hrs, 8 hrs, 7 hrs, 7 hrs, then 8 hrs.

The emergency pdoc appt that I had with a random pdoc was interesting because he said possible schizoaffective since the voices thing has been going on for at least 2 years, with and without being in an episode. My therapist says I'm psychotic right now, but apparently I have been for over a month.

Just wanted to vent. Hopefully I have the motivation to clean my apartment today because I'm super distracted right now.

That sounds like psychosis to me. Heed your psych team's words. Follow their directions, and find your way back

Stay safe. I also agree with Bizi. What treatment is being provided to ease the psychosis and hypomania? I worry about you.

I have no pdoc. I managed to get an emergency appointment and got my rexulti boosted to 4mg, which I think is the max dose. But the guy knew nothing about me or my psych history, so he was like, "well, I guess we'll just increase the dose until you see your new provider."

I think you should try to contact someone, try and get hold of a psychiatrist that understands what you are experiencing now.

Your behavior is starting to get dangerous, both for you and for others. (Example: reckless driving, spending money)

What medications have been working for you earlier? You seem to just get a tad better and then fly right back into psychosis/mania atm. I am concerned about your safety, even though I got the understanding you are used to pretty severe visions. Please stay safe, dear. And please try to stay in the right dimension of time.

Who ordered the rexulta in the first place?
I don't understand????
When do you see a new pdoc?
You can always go to the ER and go Inpatient.Since you live alone, there is no one there to help monitor you.
I think this is not a good thing.
I am very worried for your safety and others.

Driving while manic is such fun but Please take care. I’ve had a car accident while manic. My car keys have been permanently confiscated.

Sorry for being unclear!

My insurance will not approve Rexulti; they keep rejecting it. That's why I got samples to get me until my intake appointment with my new pdoc. I've been getting samples this whole time, actually.

The insurance company doesn't care about anything except making a profit. United Healthcare in specific.

I don't want to go to the ER because it's expensive and I don't think they can help with anything. Plus, if United Healthcare is giving me problems now, who knows what would happen with an IP stay. It's not worth it with these idiots. I'm better off continuing to see my therapist and waiting for my intake appointment. At least they'll pay for that, like the only thing they'll ever pay for.

Sorry your having problems now. Hope you get it sorted out soon. I hate dealing with insurance companies and their draconian take on psych Meds and mental health care in general.
