I feel great on this new med. no bad side effects like haldol except I'm not sleeping! I saw literally every hour last night! Every.hour.

And I can't nap. And it's 9pm and I still not tired enough to sleep. It's been 7 days since I've gotten decent sleep.

I'm afraid I'm gonna get manic. I take 10mg melatonin and 25mg vistaril to sleep!

Have you called your doctor about this? Please do if you haven’t. not getting enough sleep is dangerous.

I took Ativan last night and got a little sleep. Wondering if increased vistaril might help but waiting to hear from my dr!

I haven't had any insomnia problems on it (on it since Saturday), but I'm on 3mg. Perhaps the dosage makes a difference(?)

OK your doctor didn’t call back? Call him again...and again and AGAIN until you get a response. Please be proactive. A bipolar person with med induced insomnia is an emergency!

He said to keep my meds the same and apparently my sleep will improve. Now I feel stupid for calling.

You are absolutely NOT stupid for calling! What you did was care about yourself enough to make that call because you are concerned. That’s a GOOD thing. Learning self care can be a little disconcerting and feel weird at first if we’re not used to doing it.

Gah, I was feeling the exact opposite with vraylar. I cannot keep my eyes open. Are you taking samples? I hear this stuff is expensive.
Thanks for this!

Good God!! Seriously??!! And in the meanwhile?? If he thinks it is a side effect that will go away, fine. I guess. But why not at least give you something for sleep until that happens?

You are definitely NOT stupid for calling. Sleep is very important and you are smart and right and responsible to be concerned.
Thanks for this!
