Is there any kind of withdrawl? I was taken off of it with no tapering. It was not replaced by anything. Yesterday afternoon I went through a terrible depression. Then I started feeling better but still depressed. Then it came again. Incredible. I never had this rapid shift in moods. Today I have stability problems.

Never go cold turkey. I went loony for a week when I stopped talking tramadol. But back on it now because the pain was to much and I'm watching for anything out of the ordinary eg, adverse reactions with others meds.

But if you're under medical supervision, just follow recommendations from them.

Nasty shut withdrawals can be .. try and detox for 3 days. You will poop like a fountain

I'm currently getting of latuda as well. My doc told me there's not a high risk for side effects. Though my wife asked if we could taper down because it would make her feel better.

i try to have my psych drugs tapered slowly, if possible. psych drugs 'work' by altering brain chemistry. that's...what they do. take away a drug, especially one as powerful as a tranquilizer/antipsychotic, one can expect a change in mood, anxiety, agitation, etc. not always a bad thing...these are powerful drugs, so i think its kind of irresponsible to just drop it from your treatment, no taper or anything.

I had to drop it. I was not balancing, I was dizzy, my vision was blurry for examples.

when I've reduced my tranquilizer, a benzodiazepine or gabapentin came in handy.

I felt exactly the same way when I tried to go off Latuda cold turkey. I ended up going back on it and tapering. It was much easier that way.
