I'd tried to describe what I feel a few different ways, unsuccessfully, I mean, I don't want to go off this little combo I have because its working well and is a modest dose of the meds in question; but all the squirming, pacing, and teeth tapping was really starting to be a problem for me. Surprisingly to me the answer is simple and good for my blood pressure too. Just a couple points now from 110/70 perfection.

A little sprinkling of propranolol, even at a baby starter dose, really took the sting out of that irritating sensation of having to keep moving. I'm now able to sit mostly still, and I'm able to read long blocks of text again without my eyes wandering all over the place.

Anyway, I put up with that for much too long for no good reason, and now have a simple answer.

I have the foot tapping problem. And foot shaking when I’m laying down. I know it’s a side effect of the haldol. I’m on sinemet to help but I don’t think it’s working. Maybe I ought to ask about propranolol.

Thanks, I am feeling better and hope to participate more, now that I can read more, or even read my own when I write too much. Its weird how one little side effect can disrupt so much.

all tranquilizers/antipsychotics can cause uneasiness, even straight up akathisia, but it seems to be a major problem with abilify. kinda lame, because abilify is less toxic than many other options. ugh.

gabapentin helped me, when i was on a higher dose of abilify. benzodiazepines are fairly standard, lyrica seems like it'd be a logical choice.

When I'm manic I jiggle my legs, draw a figure 8 on my hand, and pace a figure a 8. I don't know why I'm obsessed with the number 8 but apparently I am.

I have akathisia from Latuda. I take Artane and that helped a bit.
