What do you do when you can’t sleep due to racing mind at 3 in the morning?

Do you have any PRNs, like a benzo? That can relax you if you're really desperate for sleep
Thanks for this!

Been going through something similar. It's a manic sleeping pattern without the mania. Last night I didn't sleep at all---tried going to bed around 4, but couldn't shut off my brain or close my eyes. I finally gave up at 6, when it was already light out. I've had a number of these kind of nights in recent weeks and all I can think is, I'll make up for lost time in the winter. I'm such a slug in the cold months.

Yeah, I don’t think I am manic either. It’s just my mind won’t shut off though body is exhausted already. I’m such a slug in the cold weather too. Sorry you’ve been through the same things

I know when my mind is racing I have to derail it. Normally I can clear it, but sometimes I have to think of a song or do a guided meditation to a "safe place" to calm down.
Thanks for this!

Sometimes I’ll do a guided sleep meditation on YouTube. It helps relax me enough to sleep.

There are times when meditation helps me, but also there are times when I’m too restless to meditate Too restless to meditate but also too tired to do physical things like pacing for example.
