OK, so I've been in a depressive episode now for at least 6 weeks. But I haven't had any suicidal thoughts. I have been extremely tired and have had no energy or want to do anything but sleep. Right now I am on Wellbutrin 300xl, Latuda 80, and Rexulti 3mg. She wants to up my dosage on Latuda to 120 which I don't want to do....I just feel like it won't work and maybe all this medication is making me tired. I also don't want to gain anymore weight. Any advice out there?

What i'm not sure about is why you're on the 2 antipsychotics that are supposed to work with ADs to make them work better. It might be overkill? Maybe a mood stabilizer could help? I'm not quite sure. Sometimes we just have to pick ourselves up and brush ourselves off though and start moving forward again. Are you in therapy? Do you do any self care or use any coping skills to help with the depression? I find mediation really helpful and there's so many different ways you can do it. Just a thought. I get tired a lot too and want to sleep all the time but I force myself to do things. I bargain with myself. I'll set a timer for 20-30 mins and just allow myself to veg out for that time and when the timer goes off go do something for 15 mins. It's amazing what you can do in 15 mins. Depression isn't fun but maybe try other methods besides raising the meds first? idk. don't listen to me. i'm not a dr.
Thanks for this!

Have you tried Lamictal? It is a slow titration med due to the possibility of a fatal skin rash, but it helps a lot of folks.

How long have you been on two MS and a AD ?

Maybe as Mo said .....over medicated ? There’s always a possibility.

Yes I agree setting that timer is key to helping manage your time. I live by a timer.

Have you had your thyroid checked lately? Maybe your depression is your thyroid being off.... just a thought.

Your trick is very logical. Taking the first step is always difficult while depressed. Thanks.

Hi, Good point. I just read that a disbalanced thyroid can mimic depression and even bipolar disorder. Especially Hashimoto's disease. Doctors should check the thyroid with extensive tests before diagnosing any mental illness but they don't most of the time.
Thanks.
