Does anyone else get echoes in their ear?

Sometimes I'll hear a sound, like a cell phone ringing. The phone will ring 3 or 4 times, then go to voicemail. However, for the next 1+ minutes, I will hear the phone ringing in my ear still even when I turn it off. It will echo nonstop. It's lasted 40 minutes for me once.

I've had this with other sounds, too. I physically hear it in my ear. It's not in my head. It's literally echoing in my ear, and the volume is as loud as it was when I first heard it, so the sound doesn't die off.

I had something like that after an ENT procedure. It lasted a few months then stopped. In my case, it was 100% related to my ears. Not bipolar disorder. If it continues, and your psychiatrist agrees it is your ear(s), perhaps consult with an ENT doctor.

Sounds uncomfortable.
I hope it stops!

Different from what you described...mine maybe minor auditory hallucinations. It's always the sound of birds singing...very weird, doesn't happen often, so I always forget to bring it up to the pdoc or any doc.

When I was on Wellbutrin or Effexor, it caused my ears to ring constantly, but that was a case of tinnitus. It went away completely when I stopped the med.
