I talked to my therapist. She was able to talk me down and made me more hopeful. I’m seeing her again this friday. She has calmed me down. she also wrote a long comforting text message to me today. So, nothing much has happened except I’ve talked with her. But I feel better.

I’m much older than you. You don’t want to feel this way when you’re twice your age. Probably the only advice that I have is that you have the time to work out what is most important to you and to set realistic goals. It isn’t fun to feel a failure, is it? Yes, I know the feeling. I’m on a very, very low dose of Venlafaxine — my primary problems are with mania and psychosis — but when I was in MDD it helped me a great deal. All the best...

It's funny, I have so much positive energy in my life right now, a new job, a home that is finally beginning to feel like home (even though I am soon homesick), a small inheritance from my mother.
But I feel like a failure. I should be further along in my career, earning more...yada yada. I'm just Eeyore today
