I'm working on a WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) with my T. We have reached the final portion which I am to complete as homework. That's fine, but I really don't know what to include in this section. It suggests I cover how to determine I'm out of a crisis, how I'd like to feel, people to go to for support, people I may need to avoid. It also mentions what I'd need to take care of due to being away.
Great. To those of you who have completed this: Do you mind sharing your write-up for Part 9? I'd like to see some examples. Cheers.

I attended a WRAP at my local NAMI maybe two years ago. It was a lot to absorb and think about. A couple people in the WRAP said they had attended it two and three times. There definitely was assumed/suggested homework, which I never ended up doing. That was a shame, really. I know I'd benefit from doing it.
My suggestion is to do what you can. Does your therapist expect you to complete this whole part before your next session? If so, if I were you I'd pick just a part of it to focus on. In therapy, you have time to take things slowly. |

Where do you get the format for the WRAP? The form you fill in or whatever? I had one from NAMI but I was to sick to do it and it got lost or discarded in a move since then. But it would be a good idea to actually finish one.

I've never done a WRAP - in fact, a post of yours, vertigo, was the first time I'd heard of one. Apparently I will be learning about doing a WRAP from some NAMI training this fall. I really wish I could be of help to you. Completing a WRAP...it sounds like the type of thing I would not find easy to do. I give you a lot of credit for working on yours.

BirdDancer, you have a good point. I will start with just one aspect of the Post Crisis Plan (Part 9), and save the rest for my next session with her.
BeyondtheRainbow, if this works, it is a link to essentially the same as a WRAP although it's called a Personal Crisis Plan (Advance Directive). http://mentalhealthrecovery.com/wp-c...2012Manual.pdf I found the above on this page which has several applicable links as well as extensive supporting text. One more link. This is a blog post which dissects the WRAP and explains each section clearly. You may find the perspective it offers helpful.

Sorry this is late. I love WRAP and Dr. Mary Ellen Copeland. She has videos on YouTube and has slide presentations to go along with the videos. I created my own WRAP following along with her basically. I had the template at one point because I worked in mental health.
