I am on lamictal, depakote, and haldol. I’ve been on this combo since a hospitalization in April and I have been mostly stable since then. However I have not been working so that could be helping my stability. I am worried about going back to work. I am hoping these meds continue to work well for me.

I have not been working either. Last job was back in feb got fired. I feel like work contributed heavily to my stability but with all my appointments working will be a challenge.

I am on lithium, depakote, and latuda. Trying to get stable, for the most part I am but the latuda takes me back and forth. Cant find a med to add with lithium and depakote to keep me stable but I need something.
Thanks for this!

I'm schizoeffective bipolar type 1. I take Geodon, Saphris for sleep and mania, Prozac for my OCD , Lamictal for mood stabilisation, and Librium for anxiety. I've been working part time for over a year now. I've been much more stable. I still see my pdoc every 6 weeks, and my cognitive behavioral therapist every two weeks . I take other meds to counteract the side effects of my psych meds. I want to work full time , but I don't know if I can anymore.

Meds change so much over periods of time, even over seasons.
Right now:

Lamictal 150mg./daily
Paxil 20mg./daily
Seroquel 50mg./daily
Gabapentin 300mg./daily
Klonopin 2mg./daily

I will be tapering off the Seroquel starting in 2 weeks. I very much want to get off of it.

I think the Paxil is a bit high and causing me to feel that "manic anger". I'm going to drop it down a bit...15mg. to start. See how that goes.
Thanks for this!

I take Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER) as my main moodstabilizer, a small dose of Lamictal, and a somewhat large dose of Seroquel XR. All doses in my signature. I also take benzos, but small doses. I wish I could go off the benzos, but my psychiatrist resists my requests. Ideally I'd take Ativan as a prn "as needed" as my only benzo. The Levothyroxine/Synthroid I take is for past Lithium-induced hypothyroidism, which is well controlled. The propranolol is for tachycardia related to anxiety and mitral valve prolapse (not anything that serious).

On my current mix, the side effects are very minimal. Tegretol XR makes me a tiny bit clumsy, but that's no big deal. My Lamictal is a small enough dose not to give me side effects I had at larger doses. Seroquel XR might make it slightly harder to lose weight than without it, and may affect my blood work, but not significantly. I'm currently 15 lbs overweight, a weight I once was 17 years ago before bipolar meds. Seroquel XR is a very important med for me. It helps with everything. It is the only med in my mix that is manipulated. I'm grateful for my current mix.

I'm still on disability, and occasionally have notable episodes, but at this point I feel therapy is my best avenue as an adjunct to my meds. More meds cannot take away the barriers I have to getting back to work.

My meds are in my signature. Some are for anxiety & sleep though (but I suppose you can argue good sleep is good for keeping mania at bay, at least for me it is).

My main bipolar meds are Seroquel 400 mg (night), Lamictal 200 mg (morning & night), Wellbutrin 150 mg (morning), haven't put that one in my signature yet, I'm on it on a trial basis. If you want to add for the sleep, also the Clonidine (but that is for the anxiety too, though a side effect is sedation), same thing with the Klonopin and propranolol.

A lot of laughter, sun, exercise and thinking.
Forging new friendships, and keeping tap of old ones.

Eating, applying and spreading Arnica.

I also ingest some pharmakillers, to wit:
.75 mg clonazepam.
10 mg Paxil.

My bipolar toilet eats 100mg lamotrigine a day.
He's depressed. Has a lousy memory. Blurry vision. Slow reactions. No reflexes. Lives in fear. Can't make desisions.
I'm sending him to the shrinks as soon as my pumber come in.
I'm sure that after a long and painful period of trial and error, they will find "the right combo". He will be a mediocre toilet again. Never the glorious one-piece he once was.

He will remain in this deplorable condition for as long as I feed him lamotrigine/ lamictal.

Cheers.

I take Latuda, 120mg and Lithium 600mg.

I'm feeling depressed, these meds are obviously not working for me.

I'm tapering off lithium, I was on 900mg last week.

I used to take 300mg of Lamictal and that worked for 4 years. But I had a bad reaction to it and had to come off of it, which is when I got switched to lithium.

I'm just about sure that my meds are all included in my signature but here they are anyway -

Symbyax
Lamictal
Wellbutrin XL
Vyvanse
Klonopin

I would really like to get off of the Vyvanse. It's prescribed for ADHD but it also helps my mood so while I try to get off of it, I'm worried it may make me unstable and I'm currently feeling pretty good. I don't need it for work or school anymore so, I don't see why I should continue to take it. Been on it since 2015 and I quit or lost my job in 2017 because of a depressive episode.
I feel like I take stimulating meds to get up in the morning and get going and then sedating meds to bring me down at night. It's starting to not make sense to me to do this to myself. I want to self regulate a little better.

I take Gabapentin for fibromyalgia which is new diagnosis. I don't want to take it either but I feel like crap if I don't.
I take Synthroid for hypothyroid.

Symbyax 12/50mgs
Lamictal 200mg
Wellbutrin XL (or ForFivO) 450mg
Vyvanse 70mg
Klonopin 2mg

Synthroid 88mcg
Gabapentin 300mg 3x a day and to increase soon

I loathe being on so many meds. I can't stand it.

It's all in my signature. I mostly leave out the traz and seroquel though unless I really need them. Though the way things are going I might need the latter a bit more.

Latuda 40mg, Lithium 1200mg, Strattera (ADHD) 60mg, Seroquel (for sleep) 150 MG, Propanolol (RLS from the Seroquel, High BP) 30mg Temazepam 30mg.

I'm really stable right now, no mood problems for almost 8 weeks. The Latuda is giving me some loss of sexual desire but not much, it's tolerable. The Seroquel is messing with my blood sugar and cholesterol, I tried to get off of it but I couldn't. When I tapered off of it I started sleeping 3 hours a night which was miserable and dangerous. Sleep is my major problem but since I'm getting 5 or more hours every night I want to go back to work. Running out of money is an issue too- I"m on sick leave and I've had to use my savings.

I am BP II and take 1500 lithium and 10 celexa. From an efficacy perspective, I think everything works well........when I take them. Sometimes, I'll take 1000 a day and skip the celexa. But I'm getting back to a normal routine. A big side effect is the lithium makes me incredibly thirsty all day. I also make sure I take it with food because it can upset my stomach. Celexa doesn't really have any side effects for me, I just don't believe I need it. But my p-doc says I should take it so I do.

Diagnosed bipolar 1 six months ago.
Was a turbulent year before getting diagnosed, almost ended with disability. Managed to get a job (a bit hypomanic, probably pretty controlled at that time) as a manager. Suck on that, people who wanted me to go on disability

I’ve been on 400 mg Seroquel since the diagnose. Been stable, a few times I have needed 5-600 mg.

Works like a charm. More focused on work, don’t find it as boring as before.

Most people seem to notice a difference, even without knowing I’m medicated. They seem to like it, not sure if I am supposed to be insulted or happy about that…
