|
I have Bipolar with phychotic and manic episodes. its very complex condition. At the moment I'm experiencing ongoing problems with the Community Mental Health Team. Did you have any problems? What did you do? Please let me know as I have complained again
|

Hi Olga,
I hope someone from the UK, or other country with a similar support arrangement, will respond shortly. I'm from the US and where I live we do not have the same arrangement, that I know of. I do recall someone mentioning something very similar in the following thread (p. 4). She indicates Scotland as her country. Maybe you can contact her through messaging, if you want. Her response seemed very positive about her support team. How often do you see your psychiatrist (meds prescriber)? |

Thank you BirdDancer It would be very helpful if someone replied to this post as I have concerns as to why Community Team treating me not in the same way as other patience. This is why I have complained because now they say I don't need care coordinator and I do need a care coordinator to coordinate my needs. So I will ask for extra help.

I am also in the US, so cannot speak to dealing with this problem, but am very sorry that you are experiencing difficulty with your healthcare team. I hope you get the help you deserve!

Thank you Yellow Fleurs I saw pdoc and pnurse and it felt like they wanted get rid of me (take me off their books). So when I asked this question their response was unclear and they didn't answer all of my questions but they asked me LOTS of questions and I replied to all of them. I have filed a complain because not only they were reluctant to help me from the start which resulted in acute episodes and turned into chronic illness. They don't always return my calls unless I complain so this is very stressful. Its agony to go through this without the help of mental health team.

Hey I'm in Scotland but I have never had any issues really in regards to the CMHT. Other than I was discharged from Psychology without doing anything wrong and I felt rejected but I kept it to myself why bother them huh. If you wanna pm me then please do.

Just pm'ed you We need support not rejection and sometimes its good to have your say through a complaint procedure. Hopefully to help others who are in similar situation... I'm dreading of the outcome though but how else can I ask the PRO to listen.... |
