Idk how I feel rn. I want to sleep but I don't. I have a friend in australia that I've been friends with for like 2 years and she's not doing well. I'm too up from the nuvigil but I feel so sad cause she might not make it. She's currently in the hospital with pneumonia. She's already got breathing problems and is on oxygen 24/7. She also deals with having MRSA and chronic pain and is in a wheelchair. She is the sweetest person. She takes care of her blind roommate and I just feel so bad about what would happen to her roommate if anything would happen to my friend. She also has cats that are adorable. I thought she was doing ok. I feel bad cause I sent her a message to complain about something tonight and my problems seem so insignificant.

Possible trigger:

she talked to the drs and signed a DNR if anything happens cause she would most likely be left with brain damage if anything was tried to save her life.

I know my problems are valid and my therapist would be super mad at me right now but idk i just yeah. How am I even going to know if anything happens to her. I just feel like crying but can't. It's ****ing frustrating. I'm sitting here listening to the korn station on prime music screaming the lyrics pretending to be ok. I missed a message from her and haven't heard back and gotta love OCD cause things always go to worst case scenario.

I am sorry your friend isn't doing well.

Is there anyone she knows who would be willing to let you know if something happens to her?

This type of thing has happened to me, too, when an online friend has been ill or has passed on and nobody has known who to contact online to tell them.

I had one friend give her husband a list of names and email addresses of online friends to contact when she passed. (She had terminal colon cancer.)
I have the same arrangement with my husband. Does she have a friend who might do this for her?

I have a number of online friends, some of them for as long as 13 years. One downside of online friends is how little we can actually do, because those friends are geographically far away.

Anyway all my friends and I have a plan for loved ones to follow through with , I never want someone to just vanish or me just vanish.

She's being discharged today. She's not totally well, but they've filled her up with antibiotics and steroids. She'll continue taking antibiotics and doing breathing treatments at home. Of all things she wanted to get out so she could go to a protest. ha.
