hello everyone I am a newbie here. I am 32 years old and have an engineering degree without a job. A full time job at private sector is 54 hours per week for engineers in our country. there is also extra hours but no extra payment. However there is a special exam for disable people to get government job and I got a high grade from it and waiting for the results for months. As a bipolar patient is it my right to wait or should I force myself for horrible private sector. I fear to be homeless if my parents passes away before me

Hello rocknrolladdict: Since this is your first post here on PC... welcome to PsychCentral.
![]() ![]() I don't know if I can really advise you with regard to this. Perhaps other members, here on PC, will have some perspectives they can share. One thing you didn't mention is how long it might take for a government job opportunity to arise. (Perhaps there's no way to know?) I'm going to link you to some articles, from PsychCentral's archives, that talk about bipolar disorder & how to manage it successfully day-to-day. I think you may find the answer to your question in one or more of these articles. Bipolar Disorder - What is it? Can it be treated? there is no relevance between the government job and my parents and i love them. in fact the point is i am scared that i will never be able to work in private sector in case the possible failure of government job opportunity. being with bipolar disorder is very hard to work in private sector because of the unknown and long work hours that affects the sleeping hours which is important not to be manic
