I have only two good friends now.
One is tested. I don't want to need to test the other.
They are both grateful.
The only quality a person has to have in my eyes.

What do you think about electric cars.

That's a little complicated to answer. As far computers that were kind of "only mine" that my husband didn't also use, I'd say two laptops. I still use one. As for home computers that were shared with hubby, maybe four or five. Of course I had many computers at various jobs, owned by the companies. As a kid, we had a few computers in the 1980s, but they were mostly used by my brother. Early internet back then was different than what we know of now. I did not have a personal computer in high school or college, or up until I got married (between mid 1980s to 1998). I used only ones at schools, libraries, or then called "internet cafes". Nowadays I also access the internet from my smart phone and have for some years on four different smart phones over that time.

What is the best go between you have for keeping yourself out of hospital?

Misuse your meds to knock yourself into a sleep?

Grounding techniques (if I'm ready for hospital any grounding or mindfulness, we're well beyond that stage)

Do you have a prn or like me, it's meds, ring them attend?

Peter Pandora, welcome to PC. This thread is actually a game where someone asks a question and the next person answers it then asks a new question. I'm going to answer your questions and then will answer the last one from the game to keep it going. Please feel free to jump in!

What is the best go between you have for keeping yourself out of hospital? Good meds and careful monitoring by my therapist and pdoc

Misuse your meds to knock yourself into a sleep? I never do

Grounding techniques (if I'm ready for hospital any grounding or mindfulness, we're well beyond that stage) Not sure what you are asking

Do you have a prn or like me, it's meds, ring them attend? I do have a PRN

Now, the last question from BirdDancer: Q: Approximately what percentage of your time hypomanic and/or manic do you experience elation vs. irritability/anger or mixed features?

5% hypo/manic, 95% mixed

My question: would you consider using a machine that dispenses your meds?

Would I use a machine to dispense my meds?
As in vending machine?

No I don't thunk I would. The difference between genetic and genuine brands is enough to change the effectiveness of my medication, so I like to see what I'm getting prior to paying. There're also the human error factor. It adds another person in the chain, someone who simply fills a slot, whereas now the pharmacist is responsible and there's a paper trail that can be followed. not to mention what if the dispenser is empty,!

Interesting concept.

No. I prefer to write. I get overwhelmed even by chat boards. People all talking would be rough for me, and some others. Though in-person support groups, like DBSA can be great, and are facilitated, sometimes it can get tense.

The beauty of writing, to me, is that there are sometimes chances to delete and/or modify. That's not the case in-person or on a conference call (and some other places). I sometimes write a lot. I'm sure some people skip some of what I write. In person, that's hard to do with a person who talks a lot.

Q: Do you have a person that you really wish you could meet? Anyone.

I would love to meet chrissy rock

she's a female comedian (in her 60's now), but she is really funny and has been a part of a show that I loved for 4 seasons

also any cast of the soap opera emmerdale

just to get a behind the sceens perspective of what it's like filming and how the cast get in to character

some of the characters I've seen on that show must go through huge transformations to become who they are for the show, and then at the end to go back to their real personality
what is your " claim to fame". met someone famous?. been in a school play?. that kind of thing

Claim to fame are.... I was at my local theatre and a presenter from the kids TV show Blue Peter (UK TV show) Peter someone was in a play there and said hello.

Also met **** and Dom (UK Comedy duo for kids) years ago when I was in London.

Also bumped into Paul Nicholls (UK actor) while in London and David Hasselhoff in The HardRock Cafe in London.

Went to the same school as Liz McColgan a marathon runner and my hometown is known for the Beano comic books and I know a guy who designs them.

Question: What type of routine do you have? Good, bad, okish?

my morning rooteen is great. get dressed, have breakfast, play daily games on alexa, do anything else I need to do involving emails/ the computer, do laundry (I'm very exact to the time where each of these things need to be done, and they can't be done sooner)

evening rooteen is not so good, in fact I'm not even sure I really have one

only rule I have with that is I need to have eaten my dinner by 6 PM

the rest of the day doesn't really have a rooteen either, that said I try to do things in hour slots so I'm not doing one thing for too long as I have a short attention span

when was the last time you got a proper, un interupted sleep

It’s been months. It was during Christmas break when my daughter was home to take her dog out at night. I’ve learned to get by on interrupted sleep.

How many hours, on average, do you sleep at night?

A: Lately I've been sleeping insane amounts -- like 11-14 hours. It's not restful sleep though. I wake up a lot to fall back asleep.

Loling cause it won't let you use the word Richard aka D i c k from the duo lol. They were cool. We were on a tube in London and they performed magic tricks for us. This was in the late 90's I was with my Guiding group.

Just clicked it was Peter Duncan from Blue Peter he was before my time but I still remember him. I was more Katy Hill and Richard Bacon and more

Swordfish. I still don't know if the guy was dead, or who was the dummy.
Others would Westerns.

Favorite disguise.

I swear blue peter is like the longest kids show going

that, or newsround

both of them have had their fair share of presenters

Does mayonnaise count? If not, I guess I'd go with a Mornay sauce. I like lots of sauces, but definitely mayo and Mornay sauce would be ones I'd pick if I could only have two sauces to use for the rest of my life.

Zyprexa because it packed on the pounds quickly. Ironically, it’s the best drug I’ve tried.

Do you have any “miracle” drugs in your regimen? Drugs that changed everything for you.

No, but I do stress drink which is all around terrible. But I am glad its just like wine and maybe a beer than drowning in a bottle of hard stuff like I used to.

When did you get your bipolar diagnosis?
