The longest I`ve gone without showering was one day without it. Even when I`m in the lowest depths of depression and showering seems like a monumental task I don`t let it go for more than one day. I also have OCD issues and that`s why I shower sometimes twice a day and wash my hands way too much.

I don't know if the reason for my not showering is depression or just that I don't make it a priority. I tend to do stuff after work every evening and get home late. Then I just fall into bed. I try to get up early for work, but usually stay in bed until the last minute and then just get dressed and put on some deodorant and perfume. I usually shower on the weekends when I have more time.

My hair is dry and curly, so washing it every day would be damaging. It looks better when it hasn't been washed for a while. Right after washing, it's super frizzy. But I do need to wash my body more, as I tend to smell bad.

I don’t like showering even when not depressed. I just find it to be such a chore. Now that leg shaving season is over it’s not as bad but I still don’t like it. I shower usually twice a week but I do wash my hair every other day because it’s oily. When I’m depressed the showering goes down to once a week. I’m already dreading the fact that I have to shower tonight. But it must be done!

I've gone more than a week a number of times during depressive periods. Can be so hard to physically get in shower or other hygiene. The good part is that no one ever feels worse after a shower. Is always a boost, if can get in there.
