For some reason I don’t seem to be able to reply to the thread about missing people here. I too am concerned about all the lovely people who have disappeared

to all of you

Yes, there are people who haven’t posted for ages that I care about and miss very much. I wish them well. I know what you’re saying. Sigh is right.

I know what you mean. I was on another forum. I thought I was really close to the people on there, but one by one they all stopped coming. I hope they're ok.

From an article I read today (and I agree)

No matter how much you struggle with your illness, you are gifted and we need your gift.

The article says something like ... the writer wishes more practitioners in “community mental health” believed this and treated people with respect and compassion...

The writer says “I wish my clients knew they aren’t “broken” and don’t need to be “fixed”

That’s a good thing about pc, although some do disappear, others do return

I’ve been on a forum too where people seemed close, and it was very supportive, but the forum eventually closed (it wasn’t a large forum)

There was a rule there to support others as is.. it worked pretty well (I was a mod there)

I’m sorry this happened to you.

I get what you mean. I was blocked once and wondered what in the world I had done besides gently tell the guy to be nicer to his wife. Not appreciated. Like you, I just figure we’re not all going to be on the same page. I’m still going to be me and give lots of empathy and hugs.

I hope you’ll remain the wonderful person you are.

Thanks, I deleted my post . It can hurt being blocked when we don’t know what in the world we did “wrong” .. it doesn’t make the world a kinder, fuzzier place.

But I agree, we’re not all going to be on the same page

I’m still going to be me....

I hope you remain the wonderful person you are too

You give the best hugs!
There's a reason it's called a "bear hug!"

Your Presence so often cheers me up!

Much Love!

key tones is one of the ones I miss the most and all the others in life by misadventure. The one I was closest too decided PC was a big time drain and was impacting his business so he asked to quit his membership and changed all his posts from his user name to anonymous. I didn’t get to say goodbye and I was crushed. I still put pics up on the others pages from time to time in case they check in.

same.
I'll never forget one person, in particular, she got me in chat once and we had a good conversation and she really got to know me

next day I read on here that she wants her account deleted- but as far as I know she still has it (just not been online)

I know another member I liked talking to passed away, and others just got deleted

I would hope people stop posting because their so much better they dont need support anymore and start forgetting to log into the forum. that would be a much more preferable to other reasons they may no longer be posting. Wish there was some kind of automated system where if a person hasn't logged in for 30 days it sends and e-mail to them with a survey of why their not logging in as much- even if they don't do the survey often you can see if the e-mail is opened by receipt and know someones alive and opening the e-mail.
