Hey there. My name is Kristen and I'm Bipolar II. I haven't been coping well lately and and trying to avoid going into a depression. I hate depression. But I'm agitated, resentful and not content with my family life right now and feel helpless because I can't control what others do. So I internalize these feelings and take on a whole host of negative emotions. I guess I'm just venting. I hate being Bipolar.

I have felt that way many many times. It will get better. One thing you can try is going to the animal shelter and petting dogs and cats. It really helps me when depressed. Plus it's a great coping activity. Feel better!

Hi Kristen,

Sorry you're struggling. I hear ya completely, Bipolar sucks.
As far as coping, although I'm still finding my way, I try to do a little bit of yoga or anything that forces me a little bit active, like taking a walk. Agitation sometimes makes it hard for me to meditate, but every now and then, I'll try. Also, music is therapeutic. I listen to music that reflects my mood for the day, and sometimes I'll write. Oh, and Mood Trackers (moodtracker.com, I use) helps me track my mood and gives you the opportunity to journal a little bit.

Going off of what bewise93 shared regarding animals, I enjoy watching youtube videos of pets and animals! Honestly, that's like therapy for me.

Like I said, I'm still finding my way there, and it's so hard living with BP. Sharing with others here who understand also helps.

Anyway, I hope you feel better.
