I’m tired.
So very tired.
I’m tired of waiting for it to get better and for everything to be okay.

I just got diagnosed this year with bipolar disorder. Had a manic episode that cost me my job and a charge on my record.

Now I’m waiting on lawyers for disability and to get my life back on track, while racking up debt. It just feels like a lot and the uncertainty is scary.

This year has just been the worse. And I want it to get better. I’m just waiting for that day to come.

Hi Chococat626,

Welcome to the Bipolar Forum!
I'm glad you have found us.

I am sorry this year has been so tough.
I think things will get better as long as you work toward this with your pdoc/therapist. I think the first year of diagnosis is one of the most difficult years.

Having an attorney working on your disability claim will most likely yield faster results. I hope you don't have to wait very long.

Thank you for posting!
Please make yourself at home.
I hope to see you around the forums.

Welcome to PC! Your situation sounds really tough right now. I will pray that you get approval for your disability soon. One thing that I don't like about disability is that you have to wait two years before getting Medicare but maybe you are eligible for Medicaid or insurance subsidized by the Affordable Care Act? Going to the psychiatrist and therapist often will help you figure out how to manage your condition and will strengthen your disability case. It takes time to overcome all that you have been through but it is possible with the right support. I hope you have found a good psychiatrist. Good luck.

All that I would have said has already been said so I will simply reassure you that we understand what you are going through and you are not alone. Hang in there.
