Do you pace around the house a lot? Are you stuck in one spot?

I’ve slready wasted at least an hour today just pacing around undecided what to do. Have energy then a second later I don’t. Each time I start a task I end up starting several and flipping back and forth between them all. Then I pace...should I keep going or should I go to bed.

Or are you stuck on a chair? Same thing. Can spend ridiculous amounts of time just stuck in one spot not moving at all undecided if I should do something or go back to bed.

I’m always stuck sitting on my bed, trying to figure out what to distract myself with. I get so stressed about figuring out what to do with my time, I do nothing and just feel like an unproductive mess. Sometimes I pace too. The only way I’ve found to break out of the cycle is to talk to people even when I don’t want to.

I am sorry you are having a difficult time.

I have not been getting much sleep, so I am not very productive. I also wonder if I should go back to bed in order to get some sleep; yet, more often than not, I cannot sleep in the daytime.

Glad to have you posting! Sorry about the circumstances.

Please take care!

I can relate a lot. I'm often stuck, thinking a lot, and then never do anything.

I used to pace a hole in the rug ... I know my meds have helped ... I no longer pace ... but it does not stop the cloud of memories that flood my head when I stop ... so when not at work I keep my senses busy ... mostly the internet ... yah its a waste but it also does not harm anyone else ... and I stay out of trouble ...
mostly ..

I’m stuck often too. Practicing meditation helps.

I can relate. If I’m not careful, I get stuck on the couch in the den for hours on end. Whole days go by.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I’ve been in my bed for 13 hours and only gotten up for 1/2 hour to eat something. Back in bed now.
There, that’s today’s decision made! No pacing for me today

Have you thought about exercise? I find when it starts to feel like my nervous system is about to jump out my body that worst thing that I can do is hope that it goes away on it's own. Doesn't matter what kind of physical shape you're in; a 5, 10, 15, 20 minute run (or whatever level you're at physically) can really do wonders. If you can't run, then walk, if you can't walk, then crawl.
